Thankful, Day 4

I am thankful for people who are willing to share so that I can learn.

Any of you who happen to have followed my blog throughout this year know that I really look up to Jasmine Star.  She is my photography role model for sure, and even more than that she is a great person.  I learn so much from her because she is willing to share.  I have also learned from her that there are other people out there who are also willing to share, and that we can change the way photography is, one photographer at at a time.  She has helped further a fantastic movement of photographers who actually want to talk, share, and build relationships with each other.  I have had the experience of trying to make contact with a photographer, trying to offer my time or ask questions, only to be ignored or made to feel dumb because I had asked.  I knew that wasn’t how I wanted to be, and I knew someone else had to feel the same way.  I am so glad I found an awesome someone who, even though they are definitely more well known than me, still has commented on my blog and has even e-mailed me.  There are other great photographers out there who share their time, talent, and info.  I am so grateful that I have found this community of sharing that inspires me daily.
