I posted an Instagram picture on this blog last week about my peaches, and I said more pictures would come later. It is later. Here is my finished product for this year.


Some things I learned this year:
1. I need a more functional kitchen in a counterspace sense.
2. I love the 6 cups of water to 1 cup of sugar ratio that I use for the syrup I bottle them with.
3. This year I put out a bowl with a little bit of lemon juice in it for pieces of peaches that I wasn’t able to use in bottles. That bowl ended up being the chunks of fruit I used for jam. It worked out really well and was alot less wasteful.
4. Bottling peaches alone is fine, but it is more fun to have someone to talk to or a great movie to listen to in the background
5. I only like peach cooked jam not peach freezer jam.
6. Bottling peaches (or anything for that matter) and hearing the pop of it sealing is the best sound.
