A Little Trip To Celebrate

Lets just say that I fell off the blogging bandwagon this week, and I can officially say I missed it.  I am back (seriously), and I hope the number of pictures in this post totally makes up for it.

In July we headed to So. Cal to celebrate our anniversary, and despite all the random things that happened throughout the trip, (like a cold, a random necessary trip to the mall, and one of the most irresponsible motorcyclists I have ever seen) it was a fun way to celebrate.  I was reminded that Jet Blue is definitely my FAVORITE airline. I also remembered that I love leg room, and I hate unexplained turbulence.  That pretty much sums up my flights for the trip, these pictures will sum up the rest.

We got to celebrate the 56th Birthday of Disneyland, we even sang Happy Birthday to Disneyland along with most of the Disney characters! (Thanks to the awesome cast member who let me take a picture with her birthday pin!)

We rode rides, hid from the heat in the 3D theatre, and we actually got into the new Star Tours ride with a Fastpass on the first day we were there!

Check out the picture above; that is me holding my camera taking a picture of the screen.  This screen is found in line for Star Tours, and it changes and does different things.  I thought it was fun.

Best castle picture of me yet!

California Adventure was fun.  We went to Turtle Talk with Crush (I still want to know how they do that.  So cool.).  We went and learned how to draw Goofy with one of the Disney animators, and we spent our night walking around ElecTRONica.  The Laser show and walking around Flynn’s was really fantastic.  If you have seen Tron and liked it, you would definitely like ElecTRONica.

We went to the Carnation Cafe for our Anniversary breakfast.  We got photo bombed.  My husband ate this delicious breakfast (and I spent the meal wondering why I didn’t order what he ordered), and we spent the day relaxing, riding rides, eating ice cream, showing off our anniversary pins, and being excited for our dinner reservations at the Blue Bayou.

We ate delicious food for dinner at the Blue Bayou.  It is our favorite restaurant in Disneyland.  We had a great meal, and afterwards our friendly server brought us out this cute little dessert.  We made wishes, blew out the candle, and shared our treat.  It was the best end (along with fireworks) to our anniversary.

No trip to a coast is complete for me without a trip to the beach!   I feel better about life anytime I can put my toes in the sand and listen to and watch the waves.  Happy Vacation!

Check back on Monday for a post I am pretty excited about writing this weekend.  I had the chance to do some volunteer photography for a pretty awesome group, I can’t wait to tell you all about them!
