Fireworks are one of my favorite parts of summer.  I am just like the scene in Sandlot where the boys get distracted during their one night game a year because of the beautiful fireworks.  I can be mid-sentence when the fireworks start and entirely forget my train of thought.  In Utah we celebrate two different holidays in July with fireworks (which I totally LOVE).  The first of course is Independence Day, and the second is Pioneer Day (which is celebrated on July 24).  Pioneer day celebrates the Mormon Pioneers coming into the Salt Lake Valley on July 24, 1847.  It is celebrated very similarly to the 4th of July with businesses closing, BBQ’s, Fireworks, but we add in a parade and rodeos too.  I am sure there will be more Firework pictures to come after Pioneer Day at the end of this month!

P.S. Check out tomorrows post for some things I learned while I was taking Fireworks pictures!
