Twice?! It’s going to be a great year

The anniversary of the day I was born took place in the recent past, and I want to say that I feel lucky.  I don’t mean that in an “I am so blessed” kind of way (even though I am blessed).  I totally mean it in an “odds have got to be somehow in my favor” kind of way.

I have to say that I don’t get flowers very often.  I can probably count on one hand the number of times I have been the recipient.. until now.  On the lovely anniversary of my birth, I received not one, but TWO sets of flowers.  I don’t know anyone who gets two sets of flowers in a day.  I have never been so lucky.  I felt like it had to be sign of good things to come this year, and so far, the year hasn’t let me down.  It was a good day, even my self-portrait turned out.
